Locks and Lashes is a professional mobile hair and make-up business based in Brisbane’s South East. Owned and run by highly qualified specialists in their fields Locks and Lashes also services the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba. Owners Brooke Chidgey (hairdresser) and Stacey Ponting (make-up artist) have been collaborating for a number of years on photo shoots for fashion designers, creative competitions, fashion parades, themed and corporate functions, special events, weddings and formals. Brooke Chidgey - Locks

Brooke Chidgey was trained at Brisbane’s prestigious Togninis Hair Skin and Body and has a portfolio of additional specialist courses in colour, cutting and styling. Extensive training in various professional hairdressing products and brands as well as offering a new form of permanent hair extensions, her innovative and creative techniques provide clients with the latest fashion trends whether it be in colour, cut or hair styling. Brooke’s experience enables clients to receive professional individual advice for any special occasion.

Stacey Ponting - Lashes

Having always had a passion for the beauty industry, Stacey Ponting completed her Diploma of Beauty Therapy in 2001.

On completion of this course Stacey realised that her true passion was makeup. She then enrolled herself into the “Frampton Institute of Cinemagraphic Makeup” in 2005, where she was taught makeup techniques ranging from glamour through to special effects, by Oscar winning makeup artist Peter Frampton (Braveheart) gaining herself a Diploma of Cinemagraphic Makeup.

Travelling to America to attend the International Makeup Artists convention is only one example of Stacey’s commitment to her clients allowing them to receive the latest makeup trends.

Her work portfolio includes a Bollywood feature film, MTV music videos, short films, fashion parades, magazine shoots, face painting at Foxtels 10th birthday, hair shows, working for designers, not to mention formals special occasions and weddings. Stacey’s professionalism combined with her industry experience ensures each client receives an outstanding service.
